This blog aims to dispel the confusion, give guidance where sought and answer any questions. With this knowledge in hand hopefully, you or your loved one can move forward on a path to treatment and recovery.

Tucson Addiction Treatment Center

There are a number of different kinds of programs offered by treatment centers. All clients all patients are unique., and while addiction may be similar, the surrounding conditions are unique.

Detoxes are often one of the first steps in any treatment process.  Our medical & naturopathic detox program is a 5 to 10-day process, typically. We integrate both medical and naturopathic systems to treat the detox, in an attempt to keep any pain (from withdrawals, etc.) to a minimum. This means ongoing supervision and expertise of our licensed physicians and therapists.

Components of Our Drug and Alcohol Detox Program

  • A Professional pre-admission Assessment – We want to make sure our facilities are a perfect fit for you.
  • Evaluations to determine your or your loved one’s condition.
  • A combined approach of medical and naturopathic methods to holistically treat substance abuse.
  • Doctor-managed medication treatments.
  • Vitamin IV and oral vitamin therapy supplementation.
  • Massage therapy, sauna treatments to further detoxify the body. Detoxes require more than just avoiding the substance. The body needs further support.

Aside and from the detox program, there are a few other programs offered at The River Source.

Inpatient Rehabilitation

The benefits of utilizing an inpatient addiction treatment center are many. With an inpatient process, we are there to help our patients through the withdrawal process and all that entails. A new environment, separate from where they have struggled can create a new space for a new route to success. It creates an environment of stress prevention. It is tailored, custom fit to the individual’s needs. All in a space that provides peace of mind, emotional safety – an oasis away from the world to focus solely on getting better.

By their very nature, inpatient programs have a much more structured approach than outpatient programs can offer. While the average length is 60 days, there are options from 30, 60, and 90-day programs. They build the body, repair the mind, and nourish the spirit. This time of self-healing and learning the necessary skills to cope in their day-to-day lives is crucial if they are to break the cycle of addiction.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Outpatient Rehab treatments need to be intensive, that’s the only way they are going to work when the individual is not in a facility around the clock.

The main work in an outpatient therapy program revolves around therapy sessions that work on skills. Personal growth, building better relationships and self-esteem, better work, and community participation. Life skill workshops to help the recovering to plan for careers, finance management, and the like. The goal is to help build up their ability to navigate their own life that those factors that pushed them to use in the first place are better handled. There is also family participation, again to ensure that the support system is in place to help when the individual is not at the facility.
