The experience I’ve received here at The River Source has been nothing short of a miracle. Living my life through self-will was a living hell. I was using and drinking for 12 years and where it led me to was being homeless, on the run and all bridges burnt to the ground. I thought I was hopeless and there was no way out of this living hell. I asked the last person I had left for help, for I was in fear of death, and it was given. I was taken to The River Source and I admit I was scared. I kept telling myself this won’t work, I won’t be accepted and I won’t understand any of the suggestions given here. The longer I stayed here the sooner I realized this was not the case. The last 60 days here has been more liberating, encouraging, and helpful then I’ve ever had in the last 12 years of pain and misery. 26 years old and now I can start growing up as I grow with this program living my life one day at a time with God and the suggestions so freely given to me. To the newcomer, I know your scared and that you feel there is no light at the end of your tunnel. I’ve been where you’re at, felt what you’ve felt, seen and done what you’ve done. My 13th relapse brought me to The River Source. At The River Source my experience was unlike any other facility I have ever been to. I was greeted with open arms. Everyone including the staff and the clients are all awesome. I can’t thank Riversource enough for all they’ve given me. Entering a facility like this is a scary experience but the staff, nurses, techs, cooks, and patients here never failed in making me feel comfortable and welcome. They’ve opened my eyes to so much about my life and myself. I was very wary of their holistic approach but now I’m so thankful I gave it a try. They offer yoga, vitamins, IV bags, acupuncture, sauna, and have a medical team that comes in a few times a week with free services as well. You leave here feeling like an entirely new person inside and out. It was strange coming into an all woman facility but I’ve made some of the best friendships in my life and learned how to be a friend as well. I’m working on mending my family, financial, and legal situations and I know none of that would of been possible if The Riversource didn’t give me a foundation. Almost all the staff are in recovery and they know exactly where you’re coming from. Never did I feel misunderstood, judged, or out of place and I’ve felt that way my entire life. I highly recommend this place. I’ve been to treatment before and have never found a place quite like the Riversource. They completely focus on the solution and do everything in their power to help you succeed. The rest is up to you. I came to The River Source after having multiple trials in recovery. I was not sure I would gain anything from the experience before I arrived because I “Knew Too Much”, they quickly changed my thoughts after engaging in their program. The 12 step approach is one I have never seen before. They use a 1st step model that truly made a deep impact on me. I cant thank The Riversource enough for their help in my recovery. I originally put off and delayed my arrival there, not wanting to come, but finally came. My first few days, I wanted to leave and missed my family and home. I didn’t think I had that bad of a problem with my using. I hated certain aspects of my addiction, but I had accepted that I could never get sober. I had tried on my own many times, but couldn’t make it longer than a week. I also thought that since I was prescribed some medications, that it was “ok” to take them. Though that led me to abusing them when I didn’t have my drug of choice. Riversource staff helped save my life. I realized how unhappy I really was, and how my life definitely was completely unmanageable, & I know it was only going to get worse if I continued that path of using. Working the 12 steps with the help of Riversource, combined with the best counselor I’ve ever had, Yoga daily, IV vitamins, Aminos, group therapy (which I thought I would dislike, but ended up loving!), and a team of staff who truly, and genuinely care for my well being and success, has completely changed me! The staff feels like family, and I have grown to love them a lot, & I look forward to coming back for visits & meetings. I am 100% sure that I could not have found a better treatment center. I am also thankful for their holistic approach to handling my health needs. I have learned that I can live a life drug free! I highly recommend The Riversource!

This place saved my life. The RiverSource will teach you understanding of yourself and your addiction in a loving and healing environment. The perception of rehabs are very negative in nature (and I thought the same thing before having come here) but after leaving, I couldn’t believe what a place of healing, restoration, peace, safety and love that the RiverSource provides. I read in other reviews before I chose the RiverSource that people had met lifelong friends here and I didn’t believe that would be possible. Now I can say the same thing, I have met lifelong friends here. Making the choice to go to inpatient rehab is scary (because none of us have entered rehab on a winning streak!) but do yourself the greatest gift you can and do it.

My experience was amazing here at The River Source in Arizona City. When I first got here in the middle of nowhere I thought what am I getting myself into? I would definitely recommend The River Source for an inpatient program. The staff was fantastic and really took the time to listen to you and help you through problems. The yoga and meditation session were helpful, as well as the acupuncture and IV therapy. The time I had with the counselor was well used and they provided me with useful ways of dealing with my stress and trauma surrounding my addiction.

After a long battle with addiction, I checked into the river source for a 30 day stay. I’m so glad that I did!! The facility is really great and the main house has such a home-y feeling to it, it made the stay a little more comfortable. The River Source’s day treatment and IOP step down programs from residential treatment have been very helpful and beneficial in my recovery. Instead of going straight home and going to just meetings alone, I completed day treatment and IOP. It has helped with the transition of being in a residential setting. What has helped me the most being in IOP was the accountability with being drug tested twice a week as well as the emphasis and encouragement of taking action by working the 12 step program. The education and understanding of the disease of addiction shed some light on my past experiences in active addiction.
Through completing the program, I have reconnected on a spiritual level with my Higher Power, whom I choose to call God and have created a sober network of friends. I feel like I have another family here at The River Source and will always consider this place home. I would highly recommend this place to those seeking treatment for their addiction. I have been to 5 other treatment IOP programs, but The River Source has been one of the best programs. The structure, accountability, and emphasis on the 12 step program is what helped the most. Staff and therapists are very helpful. Their experience with their own disease and them being in recovery also gave me hope and made me feel comfortable that I was able to relate therapeutically in groups with someone who has been through what I’ve been through!

As someone who thought their time in treatment was going to come to an abrupt halt due to the breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic, I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for The River Source and how they responded (and responded quickly) to provide myself and others who were in treatment an opportunity to continue their IOP program from home. I would say the “virtual” experience was definitely unique doing therapy, groups, and 12 step work online, but after getting acclimated to the new set-up, I feel like we never skipped a beat. It gave me exactly what I needed coming out of a 30-day stint in their residential program. When I showed up at The River Source I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had done no research. When I walked through the door the first thing I took note of is how clean the facility is. The staff treated me very nicely throughout the whole stay. It means a lot to have a staff of understanding people who have been through recovery and can relate. They are all very patient and caring. The most important part of my stay was the ideal environment that they create for the patients. There is a feeling of belonging and brotherhood from the minute you walk in the door. I have never had a similar experience anywhere in the world. People I did not know immediately came up and let me know who they were and if I needed anything to just ask anyone. From cigarettes, to someone to talk to, to someone to pray and cry with, there was no end to kindness we all shared. I am thankful for being guided here and I would recommend The River Source to anyone serious about their recovery.

I highly recommend The River Source rehab. This was my first time in in-house treatment and the staff and clients here at River Source made me feel at home. So, what brought me into this place was Alcoholism. I needed help to save my life and learn how to be sober, find who I am, and learn about why I kept having relapses. Nothing seemed to work no matter where I went or how I tried. Then I was ever so lucky to walk into this place. I learned that it was a 12 step AA facility and that was truly a god send. My personal experience through The River source never being in treatment prior to this, it has been more than I thought it would be. Everyone, Staff and Patients were so welcoming and spoke with me right away and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable in an awkward situation for myself. The Family Dynamic
My experience here at The River Source is really amazing. It’s so different to experience a new way of life and how to handle it and realize that you can come close to yourself and recovery. The River Source helped me become who I am today and how to be myself and not worry about anyone else and how to deal with my problems in many situations and how to express my emotions. My life now is so amazing and I feel free to be myself and not care what people think about me and the way to handle myself and I can actually smile and be happy for once. I came to The River Source because I was addicted to crystal meth. My family life had crumbled around me. My husband confronted me the night before I came into treatment. And it took me quite some time to realize that my drinking was not only a big part of the reason for a lot of this stress, it was also causing a ripple effect of other problems that made my life unmanageable. My wife went to River Source residential and is currently completing their PHP program and will continue with the IOP program as well. Her experience at residential was a life changing and saving experience. Last November I checked my son into the 30 day program. The staff made me feel at ease leaving him there. They called me daily with updates & left me a number to call if I had questions. My son attended The River Source for 45 days for heroin addiction. We were very pleased with his treatment there from beginning to end. The admission people were very helpful and answered all our insurance information and other questions in a timely manner. Our son said the staff really cared about his recovery and did not treat this as just a job. The holistic treatment was amazing, he not only gained back the weight he lost because of his addiction but he looked healthier than he had in years; he also said the supplements really helped him with the withdrawals. We enjoyed the family barbeque and also learned a lot about ourselves and our son’s addiction with the seminars that was provided. We received weekly calls from his counselor and life coach to inform us of his progress and a well thought out aftercare plan was made up for him before his departure. All of these things made it much easier to “let go” and let his recovery take place. I am happy to report that our son is doing well living in a sober living environment and is going on 70 day’s clean and sober.
