Some recovering alcoholics say that having a drink to enjoy at a summer party is helpful because it takes some of the pressure off. If people don’t know what you’ve been through, they may offer you a drink without thinking. Having something in your hand avoids this from happening.
Here are some delicious drink recipes that will keep you refreshed and hydrated all summer long!
1. Shirley Temple
Nothing beats a sweet-tasting Shirley Temple. This drink is perfect for kids and adults alike, so you can easily serve it any event.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces of lemon-lime beverage
- 1 dash grenadine syrup
- 1 maraschino cherry
Directions
Pour soda onto the ice. Add the grenadine and top with a cherry.

2. Virgin Cucumber Mojito
If you’re not much of a sweet lover, you’ll enjoy this refreshing summer drink. It’s fresh and light, and if you use your own garden cucumbers, you’ll really be in for a treat!
Ingredients
- 1 individual packet Mojito-flavored dry beverage mix (such as Crystal Light)
- 8 cups cold water
- 1 cucumber, peeled and sliced
- 3 cups of ice cubes
Directions
Dissolve drink mix into cold water in a large pitcher. Add ice and cucumber slices.

3. Mock Champagne
This champagne recipe is great for any type of event, plus it looks beautiful when you add fresh fruit such as strawberries or raspberries.
Ingredients
- 2 2-liter bottles of ginger ale
- 1 46-ounce can pineapple juice
- 1 64-ounce bottle white grape juice
Directions
Combine all ingredients, chilled.

4. Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri
It’s hard to pass up a delicious strawberry daiquiri on a hot summer day. It’s tart but refreshing. Definitely, the perfect drink to sip on! You can also add more or less ice depending on your taste.
Ingredients:
- 3-½ ounces frozen strawberries
- ⅛ cup ice
- ½ fluid ounces sweet and sour mix
- 1 dash grenadine syrup
Directions
Put all ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth.
