Drug Abuse Treatment Center

At the River Source we understand that drug abuse is a pervasive problem in our society. While access to drug abuse treatment programs in large cities is quite good, rural communities are lacking in structured treatment programs designed specifically to deal with drug abuse problems. Our drug abuse treatment center offers comprehensive and reasonable fees for drug abuse treatment services.

We are starting on-going research under the direction of Dr. Chad Geotz and Jeff Howard. This research is funded by the River Source in hopes that we can partner and share the cost with private, non profit and government funded agencies. Our focus will be to research individuals with drug abuse who have problems with cocaine, opiate, or heroin dependence.

Clients who enter the River Source program will be offered to participate in the inpatient treatment that lasts from 30 to 90 days. Individuals are required to follow the River Source drug abuse treatment centers protocol of treatment. See schedule on the River Source website for more detailed information.

Counseling programs use a behaviorally oriented approach designed to achieve drug abstinence through systematic changes in lifestyle, with careful attention to vocational, family, social, and recreational issues.

Pharmacological treatment (e.g., buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone) can also be available for treatment of opiate dependence.
